This statement applies to personal information collected through this website. This statement is to let users of this website know when we collect personal information and what we do with it.

CONTACT AND MAILING LIST FORMS

​​We collect personal information from you when you fill out a contact or mailing list form, including your:

  • name
  • contact information

For the Mailing list only: We may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with our email marketing provider Mailchimp to send these emails.

APPLICATION FORM

When you fill in an application form, we collect personal information about your:

  • name
  • contact information
  • demographic information such as date of birth, address, ethnicity, your iwi if Māori, and your gender
  • citizenship, and residency status where required
  • your highest secondary school qualification and any tertiary study you’ve completed prior to enrolling
  • contact details for next of kin

We collect your personal information in order to:

  • enrol learners and report this information to government on a regular basis
  • use your information for reasonable marketing purposes including contact by email, phone or text where agreed to

Besides our staff, we share this information with:

  • the Ministry of Education, Studylink, the Tertiary Education Commission and NZQA in order to meet the compliance requirements for delivering education in Aotearoa and reasonable reporting requirements

Providing some information is optional. Where this is available, a ‘Not stated’ or ‘Prefer not to say’ option is provided on the application form. If you choose not to enter information in other required fields, we'll be unable to enrol you at Dev Academy.

We keep your information safe by storing it in encrypted 3rd party platforms and allowing only operational staff access to it.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at hello@devacademy.co.nz
