Dev Academy Aotearoa Achieves Top Status
Dev Academy Aotearoa has proudly achieved the top performing Category 1 status, as awarded by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
In June of this year, NZQA conducted an External Evaluation Review (EER). This is a thorough and independent assessment that evaluates how well we perform as an educational institution, including our quality of teaching and the outcomes we deliver for our students. It’s an in-depth check-up on everything we do.
All tertiary education providers in New Zealand are categorised into four groups based on the results of these reviews. Category 1 is the highest rating a school can achieve and reflects a high level of confidence in our ability to provide quality education and meet regulatory standards consistently.
So, what does this achievement mean?
Achieving Category 1 status demonstrates that we provide a high-quality experience and education to our treasured students. When students are deciding on where to study, our Category 1 rating gives them confidence that they are choosing somewhere that meets or exceeds Aotearoa’s rigorous educational standards.
The same can be said for our industry partners. The tech industry already knows that we offer a premium, holistic and intensive educational experience because of the high quality of our graduates, but this rating underscores our reputation as a trusted and reliable partner nonetheless, and cements us as one of the top-tier institutions in Aotearoa.
We are so proud of our Dev Academy whānau for all of the hard work that went in to achieving this milestone. It’s great to have the aroha and commitment you put in every day formally recognised within the education industry.
For those interested in diving into the details, the full report is available on the NZQA website under the External Quality Assurance section.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us—here’s to more milestones ahead!
